Received an automated message saying they were from the irs and that I was in deep trouble for tax fraud. They said that there was a warrant out for my arrest and to avoid this I need to call them back at once.
If you call back, be sure to use *67 in front of the number so your number isn't viewed by them. Otherwise, they know your number is legit and will call you over and over again. I called the number back with *67 and told the heavy accented man to get a real job.
You can see on mycallbot.com that 800notes.com has been receiving complaints against this number since 3/23 (count = 4) and mrnumber.com has been receiving them starting the same date (count = 12).
I've submitted a complaint against 703-828-0433 on the National Do Not Call website. It's easy:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I suggest that more of you also add your complaint on that .gov site to get that fine elevated.
This company has called me three times today, leaving a message each time. I just delete them. I really don't want to talk to them I'd just like them to stop calling. If I ignore them long enough will they just go away?
I received 3 calls from 703-828-0433 - when I finally answered a man with a heavy accent (Indian, Pakistani, Afghani) identified himself as Mark Davis from the Internal Revenue Service. After demanding to speak to his supervisor or be given a number to call back to he refused. He continued to threaten me with criminal action unless I paid $1986 for tax penalties from 2008-2012. I hung up on him, he called again but did not leave a message. I am also reporting this to the IRS
They had wife's cell phone, daughters name and our address. Indian accent. Claimed to be IRS. I gave them no info and confronted them about being a scam. They hung up.
I'd like to hang them up...
