Caller couldn't even pronounce Internal Revenue Service correctly. Obviously non-english speaker. I told him I could trace the call and would see him in court... Laughed at him and hung up.
Received VM from Indian caller indicating he was from IRS tax and audit dept and had to do with some kind of fraud. Have your attorney on record give them a call. Stated This is extremely urgent. Did not call back.
Got a call from this number today. I doubt it is from the IRS. They don't do this kind of cold call. I think this may be related to scammers getting telephone numbers from the recent well publicized data breaches that have been occurring lately. We started getting these scam calls from Indian sounding people in the past few weeks. I have a call blocking device---just added this number to it.
The same Indian guy called FOUR TIMES in one day! At the end of the 'call', he wished me well if I didn't call them! I'm going to contact the BBB and local television station concerning this caller.
I got a call from someone identifying themselves as from the IRS asking for my daughter. Her information was exposed in the recent breach of Premera data in Seattle. I was confused and gave him my name. Then he hung up. She was offered a ton of credit protection from the state and has it all turned on, and her credit reports locked as a precaution. Be careful out there...
