I'm so lonely someone talk to me. I won a million dollars and I didn't even enter the raffle. I'm such a winner. Thanks to who ever started this phone # look up on the web. It is nice to see all these phone calls I get are from spammers and con artists. Who ever this person or persons are.. RULE!!! Here's Credit Card Info... hahahaha.
I went one better. I have "do not disturb" service through my local phone company. I exclude all calls (except those that I choose to get) between certain hours (namely 'business' hours and then some). The only way I know I get a call is to see it online when I check. They don't make it to my phone, caller id, or voicemail. If I see a number more than 3 times, I add it to my call block list (which is restricted to only 10 numbers, so I use it wisely).
The national and state do not calls lists are indeed a joke. Reporting to the FCC is a joke. I'd assume the advice to report them to the FTC is as big a joke.
Also, I do as buddy here said -- don't pick up calls every day. If my friends need me, they do it through IM or email.
