Received an unwanted solicitation today. Asked to speak to the repesentative by pressing "1" I explained to the live person that I was paying for his call to me and wanted to make sure that I was placed on the do not call list. He hung up on me within 2 seconds, before I even finished my message. I was polite and he still hung up on me!!!
When I tried calling the number back on my home phone, which has unlimited service, I received a recorded message that the number did not exist.
DUH! Random number 'robot' calls. Here's how . . . pick up your phone and punch in any 10 numbers at random. Do you get connected to a real person? No? Dial another 10 numbers. And then another. That's what they do, except with computers to make it very fast and MUCH more annoying.

I kept getting calls from this number 7042009912, which is a telemarketing. I am on "do not call list", so they should not call me. When you call back, they would say this number is not in service. Really annoying.
Same story, different day - no message, and a weird caller ID - just shows 7042009912 all run together.
If I could, I'd set up a "white" list of phone numbers that my phone would accept, friends, family, my real credit card companies, bank, doctor's office, etc. The rest of them would go into voice mail. If I determined any of the voice mail calls were from telemarketers, I'd forward any future calls directly to the FTC.
