They have called a couple of times over the last few days. I answered last night and talked to them, was told there was civil litigation pending against me and that I needed to call another number with my case number to get it taken care of. Caller told me that failure to call by the closing time of that office for the day (within two hours) would force them to personally serve me notice of the suit. Clearly a scam wanting me to give them my payment info and "settle" over the phone. Total garbage!
Called and asked for me by my maiden name (been married 7 yrs now), said there was a civil action against me and that they could give me the number for the law firm handling it. I called BS and she hung up.

They have called a several times over the last few days. I finally answered and talked to them, was told I was named in a civil suit unfortunately. I asked who was naming me in the suit and he couldn't tell me any details. He told me that failure to take care of this would force them to personally serve me notice of the suit. I told him to go ahead and have me served. He got smart with me and said ok if that's how you want to handle this. I hung up. I haven't been served yet....
I have also gotten calls from this number stating the same thing, I asked them who I was getting sued by and she stated that they couldn't tell me that information due to privacy acts I would have to call another number. I told her that if they want to get in touch with me about this case they would need to send me something in the mail and I hung up. Thank you others for reporting this number and your comments it truly seems as if it is a scam, especially these people know that it is tax return season and are trying to do some shady business...Remember if you do have past debts, their is a statute of limitations on how old a debt is and if it is past that statute of limitations for your state they can not collect on it.
