This is a Police Department notifying the public of a missing child in a specific geographic area of the city. The caller [taped message] provided detailed information about the missing child, what she was wearing, how tall she is, how much she weighs, and what she was carrying when she went missing. I did not answer the call since I did not recognize the number. The call went in to voicemail where I listened and found out it's a legitimate call. If I were the mother of this child, I'd appreciate the fact that there is a concerted effort to notify as many people as possible about the missing child.
I received this call at 11:46am on a Sunday. Caller ID says CHAR MECK EMERG. No message was left. When I call the number back later, a recording asked for me to enter my company code followed by the # sign. I pressed the # sign and it said I entered an incorrect code. No way to speak to a person here.
I do not like getting this type of call. What's going on?

I got the same phone call... 704-358-2622. The first was around 10am Tue Mar 19, 2013. The second came an hour later. There was no one on the phone line. Called the number back... recording asked to enter company ID number. Was something going on I should have known about?
