You are very correct sir, I have heard about this by calling the number back and pressing 1 to be removed is what THEY WANT YOU TO DO so they can get into your phone and info, contacts, ect.
I got a call today from this number, nothing came up on caller ID so I sent it to voicemail and no message was left. Probably some state organization looking for donations or something.
Called my work twice in a row Caller ID says the number twice. Called it back and automated msg said press 1 to be removed from the call list for this number. Nothing else.
Answered and it was a scam/robot: "Something is wrong with your online business listing. Google, Bing, Yahoo will not list my online business. Unless you act now, customers will not see your online business provided by Google, Bing, Yahoo. Press 1 to...." Something along those lines. I hung up at that point.
