Completely unprofessional claiming to be from an organization called "Community Outreach" soliciting ad space for local schools. After asking pointed questions and telling her I wasn't interested in advertising, she said "I wouldn't want to put your ugly face on anything anyway" and hung up on me. Completely fraudulent spam caller in my opinion without any verifiable organization association.
At best a lame sales call, at worst a scam of some variety. I got a voicemail from this number today from a woman named "Joanne". The number is in California, I am in a state far from California. She said on the voicemail that "they" (she didn't say who her company was or who "they" are) are doing a fire safety thing in [the biggest city near me] and they're going to feature one [my profession] on the material. Every bit of this reeked of scam so I blocked the number.
Same situation as SLC's above. Live woman named "Cory" came on as excessively naive-- first red flag as I noticed that is a new act put-on by telemarketers. She said she from Community Outreach that is a non-profit. When I asked her who gets the money--I know these places keep most of it-- she said questioningly "The fire department?" (Example of the naive act) Then she said I was rude, would give the ad to another business and hung up.

Someone called me today from this no. (11/11/16). I accidently hung up on them. They left me a voicemail calling me a fuc***g cu*t. I could not believe it. I called the no. back and Dennis answered stating he was from "Community Outreach." When I explained what happened with the voicemail message, he hung up on me. I called several times and each time someone else answered and would hang up on me. Obviously, this is a grossly unprofessional co. that is looking to scan whoever they can. I am on a mission to find out how I can place a formal complain on this co. and shut them down. I saved the voice mail.
Someone from this number just left a message stating that they wanted my Martial Arts school to do an Anti-Bullying program for a school district not even in my state. I didn't call back because I heard what sounded like numerous telemarketers in the background. Most likely a scam because they didn't know the first thing about Anti Bullying.
