Completely unprofessional claiming to be from an organization called "Community Outreach" soliciting ad space for local schools. After asking pointed questions and telling her I wasn't interested in advertising, she said "I wouldn't want to put your ugly face on anything anyway" and hung up on me. Completely fraudulent spam caller in my opinion without any verifiable organization association.
I recieved a call from a woman saying they were doing a "fire safety program" and were looking for businesses to sponsor it. I t would only cost me $750 to have my business on a refridgerator magnet about fire safety. I own a chimney cleaning business, and I would be the only business of my type on the magnet. I was considering it until I looked online and saw all this stuff about the scams coming from this number.
They've called here at our restoration company on three separate occasions. Advertising Fire Safety Magnets that kids would be taking home in my community. I asked her for a specific school, she wasn't able to provide me her company or even where they'd be distributed. The first time I told them no, the guy said, "fine, we'll just put servpro on it!" I could not stop laughing. A woman called today trying to sell me on the same thing. Pretty ridiculous.
I don't understand how people like this still function the way they do. Are there really people in this world that still fall for these scams? Community outreach? Yeah I don't think so. This is a scam
Received a call from "Community Outreach" saying "not sure who I need to talk to . . . calling on behalf of [local county] fire department. I took her name and phone number. I work at a business with several in coming lines. She called back shortly on a different line with the same information. I told her I spoke to the fire department and they knew nothing about Community Outreach. She hung up . . .
