Brother in law, a police officer, said never to donate to these supposed police charities. Said they are scams and a large percentage of the money donated goes to the administrators. I always tell these callers to send me their finacials detailing how much actually goes to the charity, and that pretty much shuts them up.
So I'm assuming that just because my number is on the do not call list, they will continually call me? Grrrrrrrrrr............................I never answer from numbers I don't know...............
I just got a call at my office asking for the owner about "a civic matter" also. Not knowing what that means, freaked me out. He left a name Matthew Defrenne.
I do not wish to recive another from this scam! How do I stop it? I just shows up on my caller ID as "Local Call 443-4321". I answered once specifically to say please do not call me again. The man on the other end was most ingorant !!!
