I just received the same call and I was about to pay but I asked for their information to give to my attorney and he yelled and cursed at me. Then I tried to call on another number and the phone line were crossed and the gentleman on the other end said for me to call the attorney general they are fooling you.
This number called 4 times in a row. On the 3d call, I answered and said you people don't stop.
I was taking a nap and this irritated me and answered on 3d call. On 4th call I answered and some individual who claimed his name was Chris Johnson from some law firm - and I didn't get the name in the conversation, says that I am being sued. Asked about what for, he says that he will turn me over to his council? to speak with. (where I am going? - the Bahamas?). He tells me where I live, which I don't anymore, my last 4 ssn # and that they are going to send police officers to my address to arrest me and put me in jail for the next 30 days. NOne of this made any sense.
These people called 3 times and left 2 voicemails....looks like the same BS that is on here already. They will be going on my block list. I'm not being sued as and if they can't give any information....nice try.
Its a scam. Have gotten numerous calls from this and other numbers with the same bs. Either claiming to be law firm or DA's office, claiming I'm being sued for taking a loan I never did and committing check fraud. This all started about two months ago when I applied for an online payday loan I thought was legit. Since then I've had the entire nation of India blowing up my phone with ridiculous offers, fake law suits, or claiming to be the "US govt loan dept?!" I let them talk, but once I start calling them on their [***], for some reason I can't figure out they don't want to talk to and hang up.....
