i got a call from this number and was a little skeptical myself but they were very knowledgeable and helpful. got myself a discount on my utility bill now and while all of you guys are complaining and paying more for your gas im saving a good amount of money each month.
The wife received a call from 712-308-7918, they identified their self as Energy Choice Assistance and said that Ameren said we qualified for assistance and asked for our Ameren account number. She asked them some questions and gave them the account number. I called Ameren and they have never heard of Energy Choice Assistance and that they will likely change us from Ameren to Energy Choice Assistanc (as electric supplier). I called them back but could not get hold of a person. Now I have to wait for a letter from Ameren telling me that we have been switched, then there will be a phone number that I can call to "unswitch" my electric supplier and go back to Ameren. So this is not only a scam, it's a slam.
