Caller ID said 'URGENT' left a long message on my answering machine about AARP and some other organization in conjunction with your health care provider for seniors 65 and up to receive a free medical alert kit along with a $3000 gift certificate to your local supermarket-- all of this free and no S&H charges!! Press various numbers to connect with the number! Number got blocked.
Received 2 calls within 2 minutes of each other; did not answer. As above, caller ID read URGENT. Phone rang 6 times with each call; no message left. With it being election season, caller probably had a candidate or issue to plug. No thanks. But this is WRONG. URGENT to me means one of my family members or friends needs help, not some politician or organization. The worst thing that ever happened to the Do Not Call List was to have exceptions written into the regulation for political parties, charities and companies with whom you already do business or their subsidiaries. So much for consumer protection!
Called, looked at the number and name and picked up and hung up. Phone rang AGAIN within 5 seconds. Picked up and hung up again. Congress, can we PLEASE get REAL no call legislation, WITH TEETH!
