same as previous post - when I call back it says something like welcome to e-cosmo (it is hard to decipher)...and then you hear three beeps and disconnected.
Its a company about vacation packages. Or if you ever looked into Timeshare rentals to get free trips or what not if you attend their meeting. They use Auto dialer so sometimes on a cell service it rings multiple times on the auto-dialer end but once on yours, but since auto-dialers hang up on a set amount of rings on its end. But I got mine when looking int to the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) and thats why the number is an Anaheim area code because usually people give their numbers to attend the Aulani DVC center there in Downtown Disney near the Parks.
It has nothing to do with that. The computer on the other end is just bulk dialing numbers from a given area code (aka robo call) and once it has exhausted the numbers from one area code, it moves on to the next. The plus is that VoIP allows the computer to dial thousands of numbers an hour. Then it just looks to see which ones score a hit, either by not doing a "This number is not in service" message with its tell tale three tone beep, or where the end user calls back to say they don't want to be bothered in the future which in turn verifies that the number is legit. At that point, the list is sold to fellow scammers to try and flood end users with calls for fake credit card/mortgage interest rate adjustments, etc.
