They called again yesterday. I asked them to put us on their DNC list and they will never have any luck reaching the person they are looking for at this number. Hopefully it will work this time.
This was Jimmy John's sandwich shop calling me thanking me for the catering order I placed with them today. They left a message after I sent them to voicemail. I'm not sure why they use a 714-937-4444 number as our area code is 678, 404 or 770... But, every time I place an order with Jimmy Johns, they call back from this number to thank me for my order. Dude, I don't need a thank you call.
I work for a staffing agency and our office gets a minimum of one call a day, lately more like two or three. Because we answer our phones "Hello, thank you for calling _____, this is _____, how may I help you?," we never receive an answer, just silence. Today I held the line long enough to jot down the number and I believe I heard whoever was calling simply hang up. The caller ID simply shows "Toyota," and as we staff for office positions at local car dealerships, we assumed this was one of our clients trying to get a hold of us. Very frustrating.
I'm impressed there seems to be so many people who can actually understand them when they call. Personally, I understand about half of what they say. Worse, when you do answer there are moments of silence waiting for someone to be notified that a victim has answered and is on the line. THEN they want you to disclose personal information and get upset when you refuse. hey - you called me. I'm not giving you anything.
