knew it was a scam. Called to have some fun. Someone with a not American accent answered. They asked how much I owed and if I had that much in my checking account. Told them I owed $30K and then ripped them. It was fun. I might try again
Said Clarence Cen NY on call ID. Part of a message was left to call the number. No reason. Don't think I'll be doing that, especially after reading the other comments.
A recorded message of course. I am being called repeatedly too saying the IRS is going to sue me and to call them back. I am not wasting my time to call back and see if anyone even answers. This has been going on now for 4 days. I wish the IRS would use their resources to track down these dishonest scum trying to prey on unsuspecting people and do something about shutting them down. Maybe we should all contact Dr. Phil before an elderly person looses their life savings to these scammers. Dr. Phil has exceptional investigators and would locate them for sure.
