Funny, $530 is exactly what they said they would "settle" with me for. The # they called me from is 405-569-6003 which comes up as Mill Valley, CA. I called these people back a few times just to mess with them. It felt good. I pretended like I was still researching the debt but really I just wanted to hear them stutter and fall over themselves. Eventually they would hang up on me after putting me on hold. I told them I went to their web site and it looks like a four year old did it and the woman put me on hold to "research the web site I'm referencing". Haha. All of a sudden they don't know about their own company's web site? They're not real bright and I hope karma comes back on them big time.
Lady called my dad named Monica Armstrong saying They were going to have a warrant out for my arrest, why would a collection agency your family that. Called the number today July the 3rd cause it had me worried, didn't like having this on my mind during the holidays either and all I got was a voice mail. Now I'm pissed.
Check out what Crystal posted and think about what would happen if there were any truth in that. Instead of staying on top of real crime, law enforcement would have its hands full trying to track down the receivers of these phony calls across the country. How many would stick around if they knew they'd be arrested? Is there any truth to either? The truth is this has the making of you having to fork out both money for a bogus debt as well as personal and financial information. Call it three for the price of one with possibly breaking into your computer all that's left.
The person who called you is a liar. Do not call the number, do not answer any other calls from this number. By the way, did she give you the fax number ?
