I have received several calls from the 716-799-8012 number but never any messages. The concern I have is these calls are being made to my cell which is a number that is not given out on a regular basis. I have no idea who these people are??
Why do we go to varied lengths to maintain our privacy when anyone can access our information without our knowledge.
This company (Zenith Acquisition Corp.) has been calling for the past week. Once I called back and someone told me that they were a debt collector. My caller ID says ZAC.
These people called me yesterday and today 7/27/07. They were trying to get me to verify my SSN and claimed I owed money to a store I had never heard or nor had they actually heard of from an account charged off 10 years ago. They said I didn't actually have to pay the account but that it would show up as a negative account on my credit report (which is BS). Today they called misrepresenting themselves as a certain Federal Credit Union. The caller ID said ZAC. They said it was personal business and that there were three people with my name.
They call here on a regular basis, sometimes a message on the machine about being a debt collector, sometimes a hangup. Most of the time if anyone is home during the day they're online.. if these people have the money to waste calling here long distance, I guess that's their problem. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these collection agencies create phony debts and try to get people to pay them and thats why they call and call and call you - just a scam disguised as a legit operation.
This company keeps calling about 4 times a day and the person they keep asking for is not here, They call me a liar and hangup. Someone needs to do something with this company, they also are calling from different numbers like:

716-799-8015
716-799-8010
and there could be more out there for this company.
