just got a call on my cellphone for my husband-guy says his name is jonathan berry and he has received a request under his name and social security number to sign a document for a claim that an office is looking to file against you. Goes on to say I will be stopping by to get that signature so be sure to be available-you have been notified and are on my schedule so I will be seeing you Monday February 15th; then advises to call the party that issued your notice if you have questions and gives some bogus number and claim number. Obviously a total scammer!!! I mean really-doesn't even identify what company he's with, or what "office" or "party" he is referring to-big red flag!!! Thank you so much to everyone that has left comments regarding this-they were very helpful and kept me calm when I heard this message just now!
I just received a call from this place and it went to vm. It was a Jonathan Smith stating that I needed to call (855) 498-0125 or he would call back on Monday June 15th to sign off on legal documents that have been filed under my social security. I called the (855) 498-0125 and they claimed to be a law firm in New York, but couldn't release any information to me unless I provide them my personal info. If they are a law firm then their phone number would be registered..I smell a scam artist. Don't give them any info they are not a real company or office.
I received a call from 716-828-8902, an Alyssa Tillman stated that I was on her schedule to get served papers this Friday July 17th...From whom? and where is she supposedly coming to deliver these papers? No information left, no name of a company that filed the information just that they got my name and SSN and will serve papers. If I wanted to get in touch with the party I was to call 855-498-0064 and when I did it was something completely different. I did call the 716-828-8902 back and no identifying information was given. Let me assure you that I freaked out but after I thought about it a little and true company that files anything against you will notify you. Sounds a little fishy that's for sure.
I received a few calls from an Alyssa Tilman too. She calls from restricted numbers then leaves a voicemail to call 855-498-0064. Says she going to come by my home for me to sign papers for a claim that's filed against me. LOL! Company's don't come by your home to have you to sign papers. When she first called she used my former name which was changed 10 years ago.....so I knew then that it had to be some kind of scam or something. Then when she calls back she uses my current name. Well, I didn't even call her back because I know it's some [***]! After reading all of these post and we are getting the same calls, I know this is a scam to try to get you to pay for something.
