I just received a phone call from this number on my cell phone as a missed call. When I went to call the number back I got a recording it had been disconnected. Then 15 mins later I received another missed call from the same number....wth is going on?
Just received a call from a heavy Indian accented man claiming to be John Williams telling me that my computer just downloaded a dangerous virus. I hung up on him saying that there is no way that someone half across the world would know when I "download a virus" Obvious scam. Pass this on.
"Windows Support" calling my factory to tell me I have a virus on my computer. I asked him "Which computer? We have over 500 machines running Windows!" Oddly, he hung up. Now I feel sad as I'll never know which one is infected!
Scammer! He was calling from "716-851-24822", so maybe HIS computer is infected. It's delivering BOGUS caller id information. He should call Windows Support and get that checked! :-)
Same guy as above called me. Buffalo NY - 716-851-2482. Called in response to the 'critical error' my computer was showing.
I just kept saying 'what?' every time he paused. He got rather frustrated. So I told him I don't have windows, he hung up. :)
(He's called before, and we haven't answered. Figured it was another lame political survey we keep getting.)
Received this call just now on my land lined I asked to speak to his manager and he told me to shut up, Indian guy, called the number back and it just rings.
