I just got a message at work from this number saying "an investigator called concerning a courts order and to call or have my lawyer call ASAP" When I tried to call the # I got a message saying all international circuits are busy!
Is it even legal to leave a message with my employer with that much info? Should I even call these bozos back???
these people called me a few months ago and said i owed them money and i had to pay ASAP because they were going to court to get some sort of judges order. i set up a payment plan and they charged me 1 month ahead of the scheduled date that i'd agreed to. i had this deducted from my bank account for 2 months then called the actual agency that i owed the money to just to check the status of my account. come to find out that this Shapiro and Price is in no way connected to this over due account. so i contacted my bank and am having the funds returned to me. someone from their office called me and i told him i'd gladly pay what i own "just send me a copy of the bill by email or regular mail". let's just say, i have'nt recieved any bill yet. we all know that ANY legitimate company is more that HAPPY to send you a copy of a BILL.........I am reporting these clown also
I received a call from 716-986-9606 (sapiro and price) in reagards to a payday loan from 2007. Unfortunatly i didnt get any names, but i spoke to a female and a male. The advised me that i made a payment back in 07 and didnt make anymore....The last name, bank info, and employee info was incorrect, on top of the fact that i've never taken a pay day loan in my life. I tried to explain that to her, but she didnt wanna hear that she only wanted a payment and continued to threaten me with a lawsuit. She was very rude and aggressive to the point where i let her have it.....I cursed her out sooo bad....i used ever curse word, insult, and whatever else i could think of and told her not to call my house anymore. She said you're such a scum bag and hung up......She didnt know who she was messing with. I called back and a male answered "what". i asked to speak to the women who called me and explained what was going on.....he began to get aggressive and rude and said "i think u just used a fake name to do ur fraud business....i let him have it too. She got back on the phone i let her a$$ have it again...Me and this lady and this guy were going back and forth for about 30 mins with insults and curse words, at that point it wasnt even about the debt anymore.....At that point i realized (from working in collections) this was fraud and they were just trying to scam people out of money......she lucky she wasnt in my city or i would have found her and beat that a$$. Please dont make any payment arrangements with this company....its totally 100% fraud.......I dared her to call my house again, and i havent heard from them since
I'm soooooooooooo glad I just looked this number up on the internet.. Just received a call both on my cell and at work telling me that I needed to get in touch with this clown at Shapiro and Price. Now after reading the posts I remembered that I did have a pay day loan a few years ago but I paid that thing off and even have the paperwork to prove it...Then I put my Paralegal hat on; I work in the legal department of a real estate firm in Dallas. I checked Martindale Hubble Attorney and Law Firm Listings and found there is NO FIRM BY THE NAME OF SHAPIRO AND PRICE anywhere in the USA. Now, if you want to look it up yourself go to www.martindale.com and search. These a**clowns are sooooo commiting fraud!!! I can't wait for this a**hat to call me back.... I'M READY FOR HIM!!!! LOL This could actually be a little fun!!!
