Who's being silly? This number calls people, leaves no messages and you think people are being silly? People have better things to do than to have their day interrupted with time-wasting phone calls. If this is as important as you claim it is, then they should at least leave a message, state who they are trying to reach to give people a chance to either accept what they are offering, reject it or tell them to pound sand because they've got the wrong person. Gets tiresome to come to these boards and someone has to be a smart-@$$ when people want genuine information.
I just got a call from them a few mins ago. Since they have called numerous times I called them back they wanted me to verify my address to them and I gave them my current one they said it wasn't correct. So i gave them my previous addresses they to said it wasn't correct, I told the man well those are the only addresses I have resided so whatever it is your wanting you are not going to get it here. Then he wanted me to give him my current address again so he could put it in his "system" I said no not happening you guys are a scam, and hung up. SCAM!
So I've been getting phone calls from this number very regularly-- sometimes 6 times a day... and initially when I got the first phone call I gave the guy my new address but that was it...I then read this thread and hugn up when they would call. Now I am getting letters in the mail from "fedloan servicing" or "myfedloans.org" stating that I have $6800 balance. I then went on to NSLDS.ed.gov website to look at my student loans and it was listed on there- but when I called my school they said they had no financial aid from that service. Plus- I have consistently been receiving financial aid from Great Lakes since I started grad school so I know that loan is legit-- I just haven't received anything rom this "fed loan servicing" until recently-- but if it's not legit how can it be listed on my NASLDS.ed.gov loan list?!?! Coudl they seriously be that good at hacking into stuff? I don't know what to do...I am so confused based on what everyone is saying and what is showing up on my loan record. And when you go to the Better Business Bureau it comes up as a D+ rating versus something like GreatLakes which has an "A". Does anyone else have this problem? Also- my mom pointed out that all this started the day after I "updated" my facebook status to indicate I obtained my masters degree and moved. ??? Help! Advise!!
