I have Verizon and there is a place to block #'s on your acct after you sign in to mail, phone. I have all sorts of #'s blocked, not just Verizon. That log is full but my phone can block 250.
Called later in the evening. I was surprised to see the exchange 999 and was doubtful it existed. I'm anxious to see if anyone else is being bothered by this number. No matter what, I'm going to block this number. I can only block (according to Verizon) calls from the 717 exchange.

Called, left no message. It's my area code and as far as I know there is no exchange 999. Assuming scam - reporting here so others can see. No name either :)
