T have received 4 calls, so far, that is a recording saying I'm going to be audited and possible lawsuit. I received three calls yesterday asking me to call a different number. I didn't. Received one call so far today.
How do I get rid of them?
I received 2 messages on my voicemail stating the same thing. I did call them back. I spoke with someone who could barely speak english. He said that he was with the IRS. They were actually calling for my daughter. She hasn't been at this number for 18 years. Don't you think that the IRS would have her correct address and phone number? SCAM!!!!
Yep same thing here. Have received 3 calls to date. Its a scam. Reported it to the FTC and IRS. Do that so we get critical mass on these idiots. My wife spoke to one of them and they were foreign so I can basically assure everyone that this is a foreign group calling through a 718 New York exchange and making people think they are from the US.
We had three messages from this number on our answering machine, all with the same messages aging to call this number back about a lawsuit being filed. We did not cal back as it was not a credible way to be contacted about a lawsuit. I wish some effort to squash these calls could be successful!
They didn't say in the message that they were trying to collect, but overall the call sounded like a threat .
