T have received 4 calls, so far, that is a recording saying I'm going to be audited and possible lawsuit. I received three calls yesterday asking me to call a different number. I didn't. Received one call so far today.
How do I get rid of them?
I got the first call on Friday 4/24/15 and when I called the number back, there was no answer.... I tried several times... They have left three messages today!
I have gotten five calls in two days. They do not stop and getting more than annoying. If this is such a big scam since all of the above are reporting how do you report it to somewhere so can make it stop? I sent an email reporting it to the IRS re: phishing scam.
Received first set of calls about a week ago; same message 3 times in a row. Automated message saying a lawsuit is being filed on my behalf. Got another "call" (same message) today.
they called me twice. I was curious so I called them back. Phone line was obviously overseas and the person stated they were in the United States. He spoke English ok but had an indian accent. what is a little unnerving is that they did have my name in their database but I ended the call when he started talking about debts that need to be collected. someone needs to shut this down.
