Called and claimed to be from Global Energy Solar. Hung up on me when I pressed for more company information, and why they were using a cell phone number for business.
I gave a women with a very stilted accent about 5 seconds to launch into her spiel (something to do with energy) and said I wasn't interested. I politely asked her to remove my number from the call list. She asked why I wanted to have my number removed. I replied that my number is on the do not call registry, and that I owe her no explanation for my reasons. She hung up on me, and I blocked the number, though I am certain someone will call back using a different number. This one was listed as "Cell Phone NY." I knew it was going to be a scam--I wish I had strung them along for a good long while.
