I got the same call as most of the rest here. I could not hear the female voice very well but I was pretty sure it was a fake anyway. I googled it and ended up here.
I also got a call on my cell and I don't give out my #. The first thing I did was do a reverse phone search and found it to be an unpublished # from New York, NY. I have never had a Suntrust account and realized it was a phishing call.
I got this same phone call around 9:15 pm, got home from work and told my husband about it. And wouldnt you know about 2 minutes after telling my husband his phone rang also.

I got a call from number 718-887-9161 tonight at 9:18 PM. I knew immediately that it was a phishing call as I have a VISA and the automated system said my "Mastercard" was locked due to a security threat. After a quick google on the number, I found this list of other potential victims. Armed with this information, I called the Flushing Police Department in NY at (718) 969-5100. They told me we must call the local Knoxville Police to make a report here FIRST. The Flushing Police said the Knoxville police would then forward our official reports to them and they could then send someone to investigate the address of the people who have these phone numbers.
I then called the Knox County police and they told me they had had a large number of calls from people all over the county who got these calls today. The officer suggested we all call the Knox County Detectives at 865-215-2243 and file reports regarding what happened. He stated the detectives could not ignore a large number of victims who officially file a report and after taking your report they could start the ball rolling and contact the New York Police.
While typing this....at 10:30 PM....I got another call from from NY. This time the caller ID said only the number "2" but the recording regarding Suntrust Bank card was the same....
I called it back and when prompted to leave a message, it tells you there is no more space and that an error has occurred. Best let everyone know about this....
