I just found a way of getting rid of these pests:
First you must have call forwarding selective on your phone, This is when you can forward selected numbers to any other number.
Now, activate the call forwarding SELECTIVE feature and add one of Babytobe.com's number as the forwarded TO number. Then it will allow you to create a list of numbers to forward to them. Add all their numbers.
When they call you, they will call THEMSELVES. Clever huh?
Called my CELL PHONE 2 times in one afternoon. I looked up the number, found this forum.
I called back, asked to have my name removed from the list... She gave me the run around, explaining that I signed up on the website... which I know I didn't. She asked me which number I wanted taken off, and got attitude with me about how I had "definitely" signed up. I asked for a supervisor, and she said certainly... There was a break, and SHE CAME BACK ON THE PHONE. I mean, she had a very recognizable voice... so it was like... wtf? Are you kidding me? I told her I would be reporting them to the Indiana Attorneys General (as we have a do not call list). Hopefully that scares her into not being so mouthy and retarded.
The only thing that I know has happened lately is that I (for fun) made a baby registry at Amazon.com... I'm wondering if these people aren't googling things like that...
I just received a call on my cell phone, a number we don't even give out normally. I read the posts here and decided to check out their website. It's just a list of links with more links. There is no registration place or log in place so that is definitely a crock of bull. I am on guard now for the next time they call. Thanks for the good info here!
