Just recieved a fax from 315-697-9822 (New York phone number) (top of the fax says from Danielle Gerard next to fax number.
Email address it was sent from is Dan Hallen at
[email protected]
The fax was referring to a (deaf) James Johnson (email
[email protected]) asking for repair on two vehicles...a 2005 Toyota Camry LE and a 2004 Honda Civic that he bought from a friend.
This is sounds very similiar to the TTY scam which wants you to use a credit card or money order to pay for the transit of the cars to your location and they will reimburse you...of course you never see the money again and never receive the cars/work. The letter contains very bad grammar.
It makes me ill to think that people do this to businesses. They are very hard to trace because of all the various locations and phone numbers. Can you say FEDERAL OFFENSE...but just try and stop them. So spread the word to help out our countries business from fraud...POST POST POST because that way we guarantee that it will be in an internet search for the companies to verify it's a scam!
