Said his name is Eric from Phoenix Financial and calling about a tax lien that was filed. There is no tax lien and the company he called about had been dissolved 6 years ago. Total scam. Why aren't these callers put in jail forever?
(720) 230-1863 "Eric from Phoenix financial" He claims I owe Back Taxes!!!! So I asked him why are you calling me and not the IRS. he said "Thats a good question" I then stated that The IRS stopped using private collection agencies in Oct. of 2011 for Debt recovery. After that he was speechless and decided the phone conversation was over. you can find them on the ripoff report Here :
They have stolen thousands from people. DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL.
You would know if the IRS is looking for you. they will mail out a notice and look you up buy all addresses you get mail to. BTW I know, they tracked me down. These idiot got my info from a Public Records and it had already been paid to the FTB Franchise Tax Board in the sum of $2,385.65 .They claimed I owed $5,280.00 thats 2,385.65 + 60% = $3,817.04 + 1,462.96 Asked him to break it down for me. He muttered [***] that never made since other than i just owed it.
