This is the number that showed up on my caller ID. they are interested in you charge card #. If you keep them on the line or mess with them they call back and cuss you out. Will not stop calling!
I just filed a complaint about these guys with the FTC. They have been calling daily, sometimes several times a day, for at least three months. Usually the automated spiel runs it's course and asks me to dial "1". Which I do, to tell them (again) to be put on their do not call list. At that point I get silence and eventually a hang up. I did, once, manage to talk to a representative and I said "put this number on your do not call list." I heard a sigh and they hung up. Reading further in 800 Notes you will find that these creeps use many numbers, "Throwaway" cell phones from what I can tell. If you try to call them back you will either get a disconnected number or a mail box full message. One of the messages states that the number belongs to, and I quote: "Mike Jooooones" sounding like a drunk frat boy. No legitimate business would leave a greeting message like that. Also the FTC told me that action is being taken against "Credit Card Services", "Card Services" or whatever alias they may be using. This is almost certainly a scam outfit and in no way a legitimate business. I wish the FTC luck and feel sorry for anyone who falls for their scam. I hope whomever is running this scam ends in jail.
