They're still out there, but with a new twist. Got my 6th or 7th call today, but instead of asking for the business owner this time they asked for me by my first name, like they knew me. I've never given them any more than a curt "the business closed five years ago and this number is on a do not call list and hadn't looked at the number before I answered my cell so I said speaking. I was told the caller was from Crescent Processing and they would have representatives "in my area tomorrow" and were calling to confirm my business would be open." When I asked how they got my number they said it was from a small business association list. Supposedly you can call your local Chamber of Commerce to get the number of your local small business association and then contact them which will remove your name from all lists. I never registered with a small business assoc. or the Chamber so I doubt it, but will repost if it works.
Remove this number from your calling list. If you call with "information" but are unwilling to leave a return call phone number, you qualify as a sales call. Don't get uppity with my staff when they tell you to remove us from your calling list.
They keep calling in my business and asking for owner. I said no owner here then she asked co-owner I just said I am. She said she want to confirm my business information then PUSH me to say YES since I do not know who are they. I learned a lesson from say YES and my phone company then charged me several months for third party services that I don't even know.
