IRS Scammer , left a voicemail saying i would be taken into custody if i dont call back within 24hr, received two days in a row. Says there is serious allegations against me. Hope nobody is falling for this stuff, IRS would never call or leave such message!
Similar to previous posters, left voicemail with computerized voice (and bad English), saying there are "serious allegations" against me and that if I didn't respond in 24 hours I'd be taken into custody.
It's really unfortunate.Though I'm sure most people don't fall for it, those that do are the most vulnerable. It's the first call, but if they called back I'd almost be tempted to answer just to tell them I know they are scammers and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Will wonders never cease? A scammer actually left a voice mail! A robo-lady voice with very bad English told me I had four (FOUR!!) serious allegations against me. She sounded like Siri's stupid older sister who never made it out of the 7th grade.
I had 24 hours to call them back or they'd send the cops! *angst!*
Well, I hope the cops do show up so I can file a report on these losers.
The icing on the cake would have been if the robo-voice was named "Kevin". I miss bad ol' "Kevin" trying to hack my computer. At least he was a real hooman. What's the world coming to if they can't even bother to send a real hooman to hack you?? ;-p
