I did not answer the call. I bless my phone every day for having a caller ID.
Another person posted that the prefix "799" does not exist in Boulder, Colorado, and that person is right. So, I assume it is a fake phone number, not even worth blocking.
There is something more important that concerns me:
I started to receive more unwanted calls since I am in the Do Not Call list and I was wondering why, so..
I went to the Do Not Call website: https://www.donotcall.gov/
At the very end of the page I found this:
"Attention sellers and telemarketers: Go to https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov to access the National Do Not Call Registry".
I could not believe it! For a fee, the Do Not Call Registry can be accessed, and downloaded by area code. .... There is a lot to read there, but I understood that "legitimate" companies can have access to the Register for a fee... and I wonder why? It is supposed to be list not to be shared with any "seller" at all.
I will find a way to remove my phone number from the Register.
