I too received several calls from Michael Thompson, Private Investigator, getting the same message as everyone else. This fellow just won't give up. The following are phone #'s from which he has called: 720 943 3040 305 842 2237 2720 501 4669.
Called saying owed money from a payday loan have 2 avidavits with name on...recommend court ...lol...no company name...foreign accent....no records of this phone number on file in Denver area ..... Spoofing....scam
Scam. Got a call from this number and didn't answer so they left a voicemail stating my name and number were involved in a questionable transaction. Interesting that they didn't state my name. I have gotten these same calls before, they will threaten you with arrest and will get very irate if you question them and ask for specifics. They are from oversees and have purchased your information from someone whom you applied for a loan or credit card online with and then make up fake debt hoping to scare you into paying. Remember any legitimate debt collector will send you paper work in the mail prior to calling you. Please don't give these people a dime. Even if you do owe a loan somewhere, these people don't have the right to collect it and if you pay them it will not end up going to pay off the outstanding debt!
just got a call froma michael thompson said my name and number was in a questionable transaction and to call him to give me statement . This is a fraud i recived calls from this number before and it's a scam dont pay anything to this creeps phone number is 720-943-3040.
Same thing.. a man named Michael Thompson. When I called back a woman answered and she called it "Legal Services". I had to make her repeat herself like 5 times because I couldn't understand what she was saying. Regardless nothing about it seems legit they didn't even have my full name.. something I'm sure a legit debt collector would've had.
A Investigator Michael Thompson called me from 720-943-3040. He said my name and SS# was used in a transaction and he is investigating it. I called on my work phone and no answer but a suspicious voice-mail. I called on my cell and someone answered. First off when I refused to give my information the woman was nasty and hung up on me. I called back and asked what the information they have on me and they said my name, address, wrong email addy, my birthday but never said my SS#. Then the woman said she was going to ask me a question and it might sound sketchy. She asked if I ever had a payday load I said no never and then she said she was sending it somewhere and hung up. I called them and said I was reporting them and they are a scam and the woman on the phone said that's not true.
