Received a call from this number with a voicemail stating that it was a routine security check on my debit card. They left a four-digit case number and requested I call back. After doing some digging it appeared I did have a hold on my account for an amount that I'd not recognized. I called them back and they asked me about a series of charges on my account that I did not authorize.
Thankfully, they were able to stop all, but one of the charges and I'll be getting a new card. These are the good guys!
This is a legit number, you can go ahead and answer it. I just got a call on my work phone and cell phone from this number, and they were said to represent my credit union. Talked to my credit union and they said that they handled their fraud department. Noticed a couple charged on my debit card from out of state and I told them that they were online purchases, so they were legit purchases. Nice to know that my credit union is looking out for me!
As always, the best advice is to call the number on the back of the card. With caller ID spoofing they could make the caller ID look like it came from anywhere and you would not know who you were actually talking to.
This caller is legitimate. They monitor credit card accounts for my credit union and spotted a suspicious charge on my credit card account (for 52 cents), with a posting date several days in the future, for a vendor (a church) that is many states away from where I live. That combination triggered a red flag, and PSCU Service Center called to make me aware of this. I called the credit union, and we replaced my credit card, and the credit union reversed the fraudulent charge to my account.
This is a legitimate caller. It was the Bill Pay provider for my local bank informing me
of an incorrect address. I'm glad they left a message with the details!
