Called, and a computer generated voice left a voice mail that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant for me. Since it was a posting like this one that helped me the first time I had a call like this, I feel its my duty to post, yes, its a scam. I've had my share of problems with my returns, and the IRS will only send US mail when there is a problem. BTW, I let my CPA resolve the issue/s. Scam folks. Don't answer. Don't call back. Forward the number to the FBI if you feel it will help.
I just despise this particular robocall scam since it is a threatening call that can dupe vulnerable individuals (often to elderly). Unlike prior posts about this number, this was not someone with a foreign (Indian) accent but rather a computer generated female voice threatening an arrest warrant from the IRS for tax crimes. If these postings help even one person realize that this is a scam and the IRS would NEVER contact you this way, then it will be worth it. These are about the lowest of what is already the bottom-feeder robocall scammer world.
