I received the call too. I asked if this is a Sales position, no response on that but the lady on the otherside insisted on coming personally for the interview and said, She is sure that I would like the work after attending the interview for first half an hour. I googled the no. and reached on this site. Thank God.
I saved myself and my hourly wages by not going there now.
I got the same phone call this morning that everyone on these webpages received. It didn't dawn on me when my caller, Melissa, said to bring a notebook and a pen to the interview as I'll be taking notes, that her request was odd until I read some of these posts. To my knowledge, no-one takes notes at an interview; you can carry a notepad with you inside your bag or briefcase, but only to read the company research notes you might have taken prior to the interview to refresh your memory about the company you where you'll be interviewing.
I was given a brief phone interview about any management experience I have (very little), but was not asked any in-depth questions about my employment history. I was wondering how Melissa saw my résumé, when it dawned on me that I posted it on monster.com and made it public. I will be amending that right now.
Melissa told me that she'd be sending me a confirmation email about my 10:30 interview. That was at 9:30 this morning. It is now 11:55 and I haven't gotten any email from her. In the past, when a prospective employer says to expect an email from them, it will be sent right away.
Thanks, people, for sharing this information. Insurance sales is not what I want to do. I will not be going out to Edison, NJ this coming Friday!
I got a call from them as well, and I think they got smart about what to say when people ask questions. I asked her for a website and she gave me AILCareers.com which in fact nothing comes out but if you type AIL comapany it comes back with a website
