Thanks for posting how this company is nothing but a scam. I got the call a few minutes ago and set up the interview, read your posts, and called to cancel the interview. I called the # that they called me on insted of the # I was told to call, this is where it gets almost comical... I choose to speak to HR, and get a woman. I tell her that I would like to cancel my interview because i have gone online, and see that the company is nothing but a big scam. I thought she was going to argue this, but she did not, she asked for my name, and canceled. I than ask that they lose my e mail and phone number, and she says that she will have to put me through to IT. I now think that the phone will disconnect, but no, another woman answers. I tell her that I want them to lose my e mail address because the company is nothing but a scam, and she responds with "ok" I continue to tell her that they are awful people, and it is wrong what they are doing... no response. She then asked me who I spoke to and I tell her "Jenifer, but that is probablly not her real name" to which the woman laughs. She askes if I would like to speak to someone about my complaint, I said no, she thanks me and hangs up. What the heck is this place?
thank you all for the heads up, i just got that call and i was too busy to get into it with the caller so i told him to call back, now i know not to answer! i sat thru one of those "interview" (which are really seminars) and swore never again to be taken for a fool. they have some guy stand up in front of the group telling everyone how he made millions.... yeah, ok! just like everyone said, it comes up with one number then the give you another.
I finally went there. Exactly the same thing happened. Got a call from Union benefits phone no. but they call themselves American Insurance. She said that they have seen my resume, from Careerbuilder, and that i FIT the profile..(me being MBA for a job that doesnt require any degree or sales experience)...
So I went there. After checking in, I asked again and again that what work do they do, what is the profile of the work i will be doing, and all she kept repeating was "we do Union Benefits" WTF!!
I got a chance to talk to a lady who just gave interview, and she explained that it was basically a UNPAID SALESMAN. They give you a list of name, addresses of people who are in Unions and in your area, go and SELL them your insurance. Base salary is 0. You get Commision only. WHOAAA... Bull [***]...
Yes Thank God for Technology.
I'm a software trainer looking for work as well. I received a call fromt he 732.225.6190 and I spoke with Alan Weissen's secretary.
I will go to the interview because I like to think positive and I will let you all know the outcome.
Emails are good, but I like to explore and live by experience.
I'll be the one to go to the Interview.
