Got a text asking condition of dress from a Tyler Blauw and I responded. Then, I rec'd a msg stating that this person wanted my wedding dress that I listed on craigslist ASAP for their daughter. Person offered to pay through Bank Certified check so that I could have cash in hand prior to shipping my dress. BUT, they needed my full name and address. I told them I would take cash only...no response. Beware...SCAM!!!
I received a text from this person too! At 6am to boot. He asked for the condition of my dress and the price, and i told them both of those were listed in the ad and havent heard back. These people are very irritating and make you over weary of real buyers.
same with me. I can't figure out what his game is but he refered to himself a Michael
Blauw. He is waiting for a response right now from me about where to send the check. glad i checked here first.
His game is pretty simple. He will over-pay by check with the extra to be wired to a delivery service or some such.
Wired money clears instantly. His check will bounce. You'll be out the money you wired to his friend, the fake delivery service.
Waiting until his check clears won't help. US banking regulations require that your bank must credit your account within, I think its 5 business days. His fake check looks real and is drawn on a bank far away. It may take several weeks to bounce. When it bounces you will have to pay your bank the entire amount of the bad check plus a fee for depositing a bad check.
