Oh my god!!! I totally gave the guy my address but then he text me about "extra money"-- all sorts of red flags went up. I just text back telling him I'm reporting the incident to the police and that I'm not interested. Thank you for posting your comments.
"Hi this is Michael Blauw I saw the posting of your wedding dress on craigslist and I will like to know the condition and how much you are offering it last"
I responded with the condition and the amount I'd like to negotiate.
"I want to purchase your dress as soon as possible for my daughter before her engagement/wedding ceremony which is fast approaching... I will be paying you through a Bank Certified check so that you can have your cash in hand before shipping the dress... I will wait for your bank to confirm and clear the check before we proceed with the shipment. I will need your full name and address to mail the check."
A. He texted me initially before 6am. Who does that!?
B. There are red flags ALL over this.
C. Yeah, doesn't he know he pops up on google!? What a jerk! Beware, this is a SCAM!
I actually had an engagement ring and wedding band set on Craigslist and he had texted me early morning before 6am and wanted to write me a check for them. I told him cash only or PayPal; plus I was pissed because he had texted me so early...I have kids for crying out loud!!
