The call came in on my cell about 4:00PM today EST, and caller ID said OHIO. I did not answer because I do not know anyone in Ohio, no message was left either. So, after checking here I just blocked the call.
Got the lower your interest rate call, played along and said I was trying rack up as much debt as possible before killing myself. They said I would have to talk to their financial consultant about that. Asked if they really didn't care if I offed myself as long as they got a sale. Got called an a**hole and hung up on.

An automated voice said this was the last day for lowering the interest rate on my "card" and I should act fast to take advantage of this great one time offer. I knew this had to be a scam so I held on the line as I was transferred to a "representative". A man with a heavy Indian ascent responded so I played along. I told him that I was told that I could lower my interest rate on my "American Express Card". He said yes your American Express card has a balance over $4000 so you are eligible for the lower interest rate of 1% apr. He then proceed to ask for the last 4 digits of my social security #, my DOB, my address, the number on my "American Express Card", if there were other authorize users on my card, etc. For all my response I pulled out random numbers for the air. He then said he was going to place me on hold for something but by this time I just hung up. I then blocked this number on my phone. PLEASE DO THE SAME.
