The best way to handle these type of calls is "ignore them". Do not get aggrivated, don't let them drive you crazy, do not let them get to you. Simply do not pick up the phone. This Company has been attempting to get on my last nerve for years now. After 3 years there is nothing and i mean "NOTHING" that a debt collection agency or debt collector can do to legally enforce the debt except continue to call you. They will claim to take all kinds of actions against you and tell you what they think will work to get you to fork over some green. They are ruthless with the callls and using spoof numbers to display on your caller ID. Best bet is to not answer any call you do not recognize. If its a blocked/restricted/anonymous call do not answer. Just simply turn down the ringer and erase the message later if they even bother leaving one. Unless you were served with a summons, and not one that came throught the regular US mail, IGNORE THEM. You have absoluetly nothing to worry about. When your seven years is up with the original creditor write in to the three credit reporting agencies and legally and simply request they remove the debt from you credit report entirely. A Debt collection agency is not allowed to buy a debt and re-start it with a new date. When the original debt is over 7 years old make sure you tell the credit bureaus to delete anything associated with that debt and under federal law they are required to do this. Trust me on this, I have never once paid back a bed debt in my life. I have had quite a few so I know the rules and regulations. Do not ignore anything that was served upon you personally. Make sure you keep track of what is going on with it. If a Judgement is obtained you want to immediately contact a Lawyer and discuss your options including Bankruptcy (Chapter 7) If you have no assets. Chapter 11 or 13 if you have assets and want to reorganize and pay pennies on the dollar. Other then that if the original debt is over 3 years old there is not a darn thing they can do legally to collect.

Call back and ask for "Joseph Jackson". Dial *67 when calling the 770-234-0101 number to block your number from them seeing it. Watch how fast they connect you to a voice mail expecting you to leave them a message of who you are.

DORAVILLE, Ga. —

A credit collector has been charged with impersonating a Fulton County police officer. Real officers arrested 39-year-old Joseph Jackson at his workplace in Doraville. Police said Jackson was wearing an officer’s uniform, complete with a fake badge, patches and a firearm.
Jackson works as a trainer at National Recovery Center, a debt collection agency. The CEO of the company told Channel 2 he was shocked by Jackson’s arrest.

I don't understand how they've been able to continue this over years, especially with people contacting their Attorneys General in multiple states. How do we stop them? First they said I wrote bad checks, then that I never paid a debt. They called my relatives, told them I was going to be arrested, claimed to call my work (I'm laid-off now, so I can't verify that they actually did this) and threaten that I only have so many hours to settle this matter or someone will show up at my door and to save further embarrassment I need to respond to this matter. Each time they tell a different story. No one has shown up at my door yet, but it doesn't stop them from calling and threatening. And they are still calling my relatives. How can I stop them? How are they still operating?!? It's made up baloney. I have no debt with them.
