I just got a call from this number asking for my dad in regards to a matter regarding my brother in law. The lady is Zeta Woods in Georgia. The call back number is 800-935-1139. She said she is with NRC. I called back and asked why she was calling me about my dad in regards to my brother-in-law. She got very quiet then said she had a file on her desk. Wrong birthdate given to me for my dad, when I told her this she said, "Oh well the date might be off" I said the year was right, it was. She then began asking if the last 4 numbers of his SS were right. I said I didn't know, I told her he probably wasn't home due to his monthly grief meeting he goes to since my mom passed away last year, he really does go. She then asked who handles his finances, I said who my dad or my brother in law? She wanted to knwo if my dad was capable of doing them. I said of course he is, my mom died he didn't. She was a little rude but not too bad kept saying something about slots. Very weird.
I have received several calls from the 770-234-0101 number. The first came on the 18th at 12:42 pm. It was Zeta Woods calling my unlisted home number for my dad in reagards to my brother in law. I called back on the 800 935 1139 ext # 2039 thinking it was important due to my brother in law's job. She asked 3 times for my dad, I told her I was married and didn't live there. She got rude and asked about my dad's bday right year wrong date. then asked about his ss#. I tried to explain dad wasn't here, but she kept on pushing. I finally said I'd tell him. She hung up, so then I called the 770 number and talked to the operator, I told her i was mad that they were calling my house which was unlisted, she asked for my number and said she had no records matching my number. I thought that was funny since i had only talked to zita less than 5 minutes prior. I said, well then I guess there's no Zita woods there, she said yes and put me through to her voice mail. She called again and I lied and said i was my sister who lives with dad, and she told me that my dad owed money on a credit card and they want their money. I said who, and when? Then I asked how they got my #, she told me they looked it up on a website and that my dad, "Mr. Chamberlain" lived in Woodland, CA. I politley told her that wasn't my dad's name or even where we lived. She was pushy. Today she called back so I called dad, then hung up and answered when they called again. I was trying to be polite but she was VERY rude. I told her, :Quit calling me you're trying to scam my dad and I don't appreciate it." She got loud and said, "what do you mean scam, we're not a scam this is on your dad's credit report and it will stay with him." I told her to quit calling me, she "took" my number off their list, we'll see.
Who can I get a hold of to report this and would they do anything?
