My turn! Again, thanks all for your posts. I was on the computer when the call came in, and by the third ring I had looked it up here, saw what it was and hit the "blacklist" button on our call blocker box. Legitimate charities DO NOT show "Unknown Name" on their Caller ID. I called the number back and it is NOT IN SERVICE - this is a spoofed number, a guaranteed scam. Avoid this one like the plague.
This number rang on my work phone. I answered and said "thanks for calling ____, thisis hannah how can I help you?" and he said is Bob there. I said there's no one named Bob who works here and then he said "Well sorry I couldn't help you out today, best of luck with everything" ??? Help me out with what? YOU called ME. It was weird, but whatever. I work at a marina and we don't have any employees named Bob but I'm sure we have a few members named Bob.
