I just got the same call. I have been getting them on and off for a few weeks now and every time they call its from a different number. Its a scam. They never ask for a name. The message they leave just say for me or my attorney to call them or a warrent will be issued. I know from previous experience with this they can't issue a warrent. They have to mail you paperwork explaining the collection.
I just got a call from this number claiming I have 3 felony charges against me for unpaid payday loans; which I don't have. They don't give you very much information just that a warrant will be out for my arrest today at 3pm. They are able to give my full name, ssn, and a name of the bank I used to bank with. They are extremely rude and she hung up on me and was yelling in the background, go ahead and put a warrant out for her. It is very unsettling. Why do people act like this!?!?!?
my advice go to http://www.prankdial.com/ spend a little and do the same thing to them... they have several #'s they use for the scam here are some and if we give this crap back to them they may just get the hint...203-202-3630
