I got the same phone call. India accent, with a lot of people talking in the background. He indicated that he received warnings from Windows computer. He asked if I was the primary owner. I said , No. He asked to speak with owner, I told him they were at work. Before I could ask for a number, he hung up!!
Windows SCAM Call.....after a few seconds I get someone asking to talk to me about my Windows Computer.... I simply responded, Hey [***], open up port 443, 80, 8080 and give me your ip address, let me rip you off.....I get "Fuc-in American" in response and hang up. They tried again today. Caller ID Shows up as DOW Networks.... the number lists as a call center sw company so maybe it's spoof'd again. I would love to find these [***] and give them whats coming.
The man who called had an Indian accent - knew my last name - and started saying that my Windows computers were downloading unauthorized code or something crazy - according to their "analysis"... / I hung up and started searching for information about this number...
A man with an India access called March 25, 2015 to say my computer had been hacked. I said no we have blocks in place to keep that from happening. I asked for his phone number, name and said I would call back. He said it is a private number, so I said good bye and hung up. This is the second time I got called. The first time March 21 it was a man wanting to sell me insurance if I would give my information and hung up saying it was not ok to give that information out.
Scam is still in the works, got a phone call today from the phone number 770-937-9735, guy with indian accent said my "windows" was using an unusual amount of data, would I please get into my windows program and let him "walk me through" a fix. I told him I don't use windows and he disconnected the call.
