I got the same phone call. India accent, with a lot of people talking in the background. He indicated that he received warnings from Windows computer. He asked if I was the primary owner. I said , No. He asked to speak with owner, I told him they were at work. Before I could ask for a number, he hung up!!
This is so obviously a criminal SCAM and not a very clever one either. They will tell you they work for Microsoft and will attempt to get you
to either buy a fraudulent and potentially malicious software they're pushing, or to get remote control of your computer and trawl for your personal banking, credit card numbers and passwords. You think this dumb ploy wouldn't work? Yes it does. That's why these creeps do it.
If this phone number 1-770-937-9735 appears on your phone, do not call them back or engage them in any way, block it immediately.
I'd consider passing on a complaint in the national DO NOT CALL REGISTER but I know for a fact the DNCR is as bogus and the scammers
who are calling you. They will do nothing, they have done nothing. Congress is in bed with the giant Telecomm corporations and their army of lobbyists. They all play golf together.
Yep, same here. I received a call just minutes ago from this scam outfit. I had previously blocked the number on my phone (the phone rings once & notifies me the phone number has been blocked earlier.) Scammers are busy, this is the second time today two different calls showed up as being in my already blocked telephone numbers.
