This is a chimney sweep company that is trying to imply that you are their customer already, and you need their services. I actually have a friend who does our chimney, and realized this was a scam. My parents were recently scammed out of some money so I am very sensitive to this sort of lying behavior intended to trick people who may not understand what is going on. If anyone has more info about the identity of these people, they should be reported. They called before, and it is always the same old bag trying to sell chimney services "because our records show you are due for us to come out". Scumbags. Out of Rutland, MA, please post if you know their identity so this can be pursued further.
My husband and I were scammed by a chimney company, I THINK the name of the company was Chimney sweepers, we got a call from a chimney company that said they would clean our chimney ,i I think it was around 200.00 when the van pulled up it was a no name grey van with no logo, that should have tipped me off, anyway, the worker said we needed about 900.00 worth of work it was to recap the chimney and put a new liner in it. After they were finished they demanded over 2600.00. I paid them the money owed like a fool, Well they were supposed to come back and put a cap on it , and the job was not done professionally. when I called the company they said they never had a job at my house, and someone was using their company name, beware of these companies. Call a company yourself, check credentials. don't be scammed by this fly by night company.
