Got a call saying they were in the area and wanted to clean the chimney - I hung up and called the number and it said TJ Inc - I had just walked in the door so I don't know if they are watching people in the neighborhood
Said they were a certified chimney inspection and cleaning company in our area. The rates they quoted were half the price of others in the area. I scheduled an appointment for today. No call, no show. It's a scam. Don't know what they got out of it, but it was an inconvenience for me.
Just got a call from this number. They left a very rude comment on my answering machine. Saying I was a rude %^&*ing idiot and why can't I just pick up the G D phone. They need to be reported.
Got a call from these idiots today. Caller identified himself as "Ron." Said he worked for a flue-cleaning service and wanted to schedule our annual cleaning. We don't do an annual cleaning on the chimney, because we don't use the fireplace. He started explaining what a flue was in a very patronizing way. I asked him to identify his company, and he didn't. Instead, he said, "When is your husband going to be around?" I said that if he left his company's name and number, I would pass the information on to my husband. "Ron" then hung up on me.
I googled the number that he called from and found this site. Google did not return any hits for a legitimate-looking business. These people seem exceedingly sketchy to me.
